As the cannabis industry grows, cultivators who remain committed to organic farming methods form a tight-knit community. They share grow tips and education, have a deep respect for the land and buy local. It was this mentality that inspired Jason Sparkes to found J Distributing, a Northern California-based company that focuses on distributing all natural products and high-grade sprayers to hydro stores, farmers and cannabis cultivators. The team currently distributes in California, Oregon, Colorado and Canada but they are looking to expand into other markets as well.

How It All Began

A Ukiah native, Jason began his professional career as a carpenter. After spending a decade building homes and working as a foreman in Sonoma County, he tried his hand at growing medical cannabis. Turns out, his thumb was as green as it was skilled at building. For the next 20 years, Jason grew cannabis for medicinal use in the Emerald Triangle and put his carpentry skills to use designing and constructing grow rooms.
It wasn’t until a friend showed him a new product, an all-natural fungicide and pesticide for plants, that he saw the potential for something big. He tried the all-natural product, PureCorp1, and was amazed by its success at killing bugs and enhancing crop growth. Even better, the product tested 100% clean parts per billion, effectively reducing toxic chemicals and promoting a culture of sustainable farming.
The next step was finding the right sprayer to apply insecticides, liquid nutrients, biologicals and more. Jason looked around (purchased and tested many sprayers) before discovering FlowZone, an industrial sprayer originally designed to keep silica dust down after cutting concrete. With a unique removable lithium battery and higher PSI range than most sprayers, FlowZone quickly became the top choice for cultivators.
